iṣṭamannaṃ tato dattvā pātramālabhya saṃjapet | viprāṃguṣṭhaṃ samādāya pākamadhye nidhāya ca

ครั้นถวายภักษาที่ปรารถนาแล้ว พึงแตะภาชนะและสวดมนต์เบา ๆ ตามบทที่ควร แล้วจับนิ้วหัวแม่มือของพราหมณ์ วางไว้กลางอาหารที่สุกแล้วด้วย
