तं दृष्ट्वा भगवाञ्छंभुस्तीव्रं तीवपराक्रमः । भक्षयामास राजेंद्र नीलकण्ठस्ततोऽभवत्
taṃ dṛṣṭvā bhagavāñchaṃbhustīvraṃ tīvaparākramaḥ | bhakṣayāmāsa rājeṃdra nīlakaṇṭhastato'bhavat
ครั้นทอดพระเนตรพิษอันน่าสะพรึงนั้น พระภควานศัมภู ผู้มีเดชานุภาพหาที่เปรียบมิได้ ก็ทรงกลืนมันเสีย โอ้พระราชา; ด้วยกรรมนั้นพระองค์จึงทรงเป็นที่รู้จักว่า นีลกัณฐะ ผู้มีพระศอสีคราม
