तच्छ्रुत्वा देवराजस्य बृहस्पतिरुवाचह । दुःखेन महता युक्तः सर्वैर्देवैः समावृतः । गौतमस्य समीपे च गत्वा प्रोवाच तं स्वयम्

tacchrutvā devarājasya bṛhaspatiruvācaha | duḥkhena mahatā yuktaḥ sarvairdevaiḥ samāvṛtaḥ | gautamasya samīpe ca gatvā provāca taṃ svayam

ครั้นได้ฟังถ้อยคำของราชาแห่งเทวะแล้ว พระพฤหัสบดีจึงตรัส ด้วยความโศกใหญ่และมีเหล่าเทวะรายล้อม ท่านไปยังสำนักฤๅษีโคตมะ แล้วกล่าวกับท่านด้วยตนเอง
