स्थानिकं मूर्खमप्येवमलाभे गुणिनामपि । हीनांगमधिकांगं वा दूषितं नो तथा परम्

sthānikaṃ mūrkhamapyevamalābhe guṇināmapi | hīnāṃgamadhikāṃgaṃ vā dūṣitaṃ no tathā param

หากไม่มีพราหมณ์ผู้ทรงคุณสมบัติ ก็อาจรับคนท้องถิ่นได้ แม้จะเขลา; เพราะเขาไม่เป็นโทษเท่าผู้มัวหมองไม่บริสุทธิ์ ไม่ว่าจะพิการหรือมีอวัยวะเกินก็ตาม
