परावसुरुवाच । न वयस्या नर्मकालो विषमे मम संस्थिते । ममोपरि यदि स्नेहो वालमित्रत्वसंभवः । तदानीय द्विजानन्यान्वदध्वं निष्कृतिं मम

ปราวสุกล่าวว่า “สหายเอ๋ย บัดนี้มิใช่กาลแห่งการหยอกล้อ เพราะเราตกอยู่ในภาวะคับขันยิ่ง หากพวกเจ้ามีเมตตาต่อเราจริง อันเกิดจากมิตรภาพวัยเยาว์ ก็จงไปเชิญพราหมณ์อื่น ๆ มา แล้วบอกวิธีนิษกฤติ—การชดใช้บาป—เพื่อการพ้นภัยของเรา”
