अयं त इध्म आत्मेति जप्त्वाथ समिधं ततः । अग्निसोमेति मन्त्राभ्यां हुत्वा चाज्याहुती ततः
ayaṃ ta idhma ātmeti japtvātha samidhaṃ tataḥ | agnisometi mantrābhyāṃ hutvā cājyāhutī tataḥ
เขาพึมพำว่า “ฟืนนี้คืออาตมันของท่านเอง” แล้วถวายสมิดห์ลงไป จากนั้นด้วยมนต์คู่ “อัคนี–โสมะ…” จึงบูชาเนยใสหยดลงในกองไฟ
