ततः पुष्पो विधायाथ स्नानं धौतांबरः शुचिः । भूनाम्ना साध्य भूमिं च स्थंडिलार्थं द्विजोत्तमाः

tataḥ puṣpo vidhāyātha snānaṃ dhautāṃbaraḥ śuciḥ | bhūnāmnā sādhya bhūmiṃ ca sthaṃḍilārthaṃ dvijottamāḥ

แล้วเขาจัดถวายดอกไม้ จากนั้นอาบน้ำ สวมอาภรณ์ที่ซักสะอาดและเป็นผู้บริสุทธิ์ พราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐนั้นได้เตรียมพื้นดินด้วยวาจาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ “ภู” เพื่อทำสถัณฑิละ คือพื้นที่แท่นบูชาในพิธี
