व्यास उवाच । गृहस्थधर्मरिक्तानां पितृवाक्यं प्रणश्यति । पितृवाक्यं तु यो मोहान्नैव सम्यक्समाचरेत् । स याति नरकं तस्मान्मद्वाक्यात्पुत्र मा व्रज

พระวยาสตรัสว่า “สำหรับผู้ว่างจากธรรมแห่งคฤหัสถ์ วาจาบิดาย่อมสิ้นฤทธิ์ แต่ผู้ใดด้วยความหลง ไม่ปฏิบัติตามบัญชาบิดาโดยชอบ ผู้นั้นย่อมไปสู่นรก เพราะฉะนั้น ลูกเอ๋ย อย่าไปขัดวาจาของเรา”
