एवंभूतस्तदा शंभुः पार्वतीं प्रति चाग्रतः । उवाच त्वरया युक्तो वरं वरय भामिनि
evaṃbhūtastadā śaṃbhuḥ pārvatīṃ prati cāgrataḥ | uvāca tvarayā yukto varaṃ varaya bhāmini
ดังนั้นพระศัมภูในสภาพเช่นนั้น จึงตรัสกับพระปารวตีผู้ยืนอยู่เบื้องหน้า ด้วยความเร่งร้อนว่า “โอ้แม่ผู้ผ่องงาม จงเลือกพรเถิด—ปรารถนาสิ่งใดก็ขอมา”
