ब्रह्मोवाच । वृत्रो हि तपसा युक्तो ब्रह्मचर्यव्रते स्थितः । त्वष्टुश्च तपसा युक्तो वृत्रश्चायं महायशाः । अजेयस्तपसोग्रेण तस्मात्त्वं तपसा जय

brahmovāca | vṛtro hi tapasā yukto brahmacaryavrate sthitaḥ | tvaṣṭuśca tapasā yukto vṛtraścāyaṃ mahāyaśāḥ | ajeyastapasogreṇa tasmāttvaṃ tapasā jaya

พระพรหมตรัสว่า “วฤตระประกอบด้วยตบะ และตั้งมั่นในพรหมจรรย์ว्रต ตวษฏฤก็ประกอบด้วยตบะ และวฤตระผู้นี้มีเกียรติยศยิ่ง ด้วยเดชตบะอันเข้มข้นเขาจึงปราบมิได้ เพราะฉะนั้น เจ้าจงชนะด้วยตบะเถิด”
