मोहांधकारतिमिरं लोभव्यालसरीसृपम् । विषयानन्यथाध्वानं कामक्रोधविमोक्षकम्

mohāṃdhakāratimiraṃ lobhavyālasarīsṛpam | viṣayānanyathādhvānaṃ kāmakrodhavimokṣakam

ความมืดทึบแห่งโมหะเป็นเงามัวของมัน และโลภะเป็นสัตว์เลื้อยคลานดุจอสรพิษ. หนทางของมันพุ่งไปสู่วัตถุแห่งอายตนะอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงมิได้ และดูประหนึ่งคลายได้ด้วยกามะและโกรธะ—คอยเหวี่ยงผลักให้รุดหน้าอยู่เสมอ.
