आचारैश्चापि धर्मैश्च न कार्यं मम किंचन । तस्माद्वक्ष्यामि नाप्येतन्न चाप्यस्मि समाचरे

ācāraiścāpi dharmaiśca na kāryaṃ mama kiṃcana | tasmādvakṣyāmi nāpyetanna cāpyasmi samācare

“ส่วนจารีตประเพณีและหน้าที่แห่งธรรมะนั้น ข้าพเจ้าไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับสิ่งใดเลย เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวตรงๆ ว่า ข้าพเจ้าไม่มีคุณสมบัติเหล่านั้น และข้าพเจ้าก็มิได้ประพฤติตามความประพฤติอันถูกต้อง”
