संतोष्य सर्वान्प्रथमं मुनींद्रान्स्वैस्वैर्हृदिस्थैश्च चिराभिलाषैः । ब्रह्माणमाभाष्य शिवोथ विष्णुं जगाद सर्वामरवृंदवंद्यः

saṃtoṣya sarvānprathamaṃ munīṃdrānsvaisvairhṛdisthaiśca cirābhilāṣaiḥ | brahmāṇamābhāṣya śivotha viṣṇuṃ jagāda sarvāmaravṛṃdavaṃdyaḥ

ก่อนอื่นพระศิวะทรงยังเหล่ามุนีผู้เป็นใหญ่ให้พอพระทัย ด้วยการบันดาลความปรารถนาอันเก็บงำในดวงใจมาช้านานให้สำเร็จ แล้วทรงตรัสกับพระพรหมา จากนั้นพระองค์ผู้เป็นที่สักการะของหมู่อมรทั้งปวงจึงตรัสกับพระวิษณุ
