अतीवगर्वितो जातः सती मे प्राप्य कन्यकाम् । कस्यचिन्नाप्यसौ प्रायो न कोस्यापि क्वचित्पुनः

atīvagarvito jātaḥ satī me prāpya kanyakām | kasyacinnāpyasau prāyo na kosyāpi kvacitpunaḥ

‘ครั้นได้บุตรีของเราคือสตีเป็นชายา เขาก็หยิ่งผยองยิ่งนัก แทบไม่แสดงความเคารพต่อผู้ใดเลย ไม่ว่าเมื่อใดก็ตาม’
