प्रक्रांते द्युमणौ दूरं शिवशर्मातिशर्मवान् । प्रोवाच भगवद्भक्तौ कथं लभ्यं रवेः पदम्
prakrāṃte dyumaṇau dūraṃ śivaśarmātiśarmavān | provāca bhagavadbhaktau kathaṃ labhyaṃ raveḥ padam
ครั้นผู้รุ่งเรืองนั้นแล่นล่วงไปไกลแล้ว ศิวศรมันผู้เปี่ยมด้วยความปีติยิ่งจึงทูลถามว่า “ด้วยภักติแด่พระผู้เป็นเจ้า จะบรรลุฐานะแห่งพระสุริยะได้อย่างไร?”
