अप्रयच्छन्समाप्नोति भूणहत्यामृतावृतौ । स्वयं त्वभावे दातॄणां कन्या कुर्यात्स्वयं वरम्
aprayacchansamāpnoti bhūṇahatyāmṛtāvṛtau | svayaṃ tvabhāve dātṝṇāṃ kanyā kuryātsvayaṃ varam
ผู้ที่กักขังหญิงสาวไว้ (ไม่ยอมยกให้แต่งงานตามเวลาอันควร) ย่อมต้องบาปประดุจการทำแท้ง ซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าเมื่อฤดูกาลผ่านไป แต่หากไม่มีผู้ปกครองที่เหมาะสม หญิงสาวนั้นอาจเลือกสามีด้วยตนเองโดยวิธีสวฺยํวร
