गते बहुतिथेकाले प्राच्यौदीच्यां भृशार्दिताः । चण्डरश्मेः करव्रातपातसन्तापतापिताः

gate bahutithekāle prācyaudīcyāṃ bhṛśārditāḥ | caṇḍaraśmeḥ karavrātapātasantāpatāpitāḥ

ครั้นกาลล่วงไปหลายวัน ชนทั้งปวงทางทิศตะวันออกและทิศเหนือก็ถูกเบียดเบียนอย่างยิ่ง ถูกความร้อนแผดเผาจากหมู่รัศมีที่สาดหลั่งของพระอาทิตย์ผู้มีแสงกร้าวกล้าเผาผลาญ
