निशायां करुणैर्वाक्यै रुदंतीं कुररीमिव । चारैर्विलोकयामास रामस्तामतिसंभ्रमात्

niśāyāṃ karuṇairvākyai rudaṃtīṃ kurarīmiva | cārairvilokayāmāsa rāmastāmatisaṃbhramāt

ในราตรีนั้น ครั้นทรงสดับนางร่ำไห้ด้วยถ้อยคำอันเวทนา ดุจเสียงครวญของนกกุรรี พระรามทรงตระหนกยิ่ง จึงรับสั่งให้เหล่าหน่วยสอดแนมออกตรวจค้นโดยรอบ
