घृण्यौष्ण्याद्दग्धदेहा सा तपस्तेपे पतिव्रता । येन मां तेजसा सह्यं द्रष्टुं नैव शशाक ह

กายของนางถูกความร้อนอันรุนแรงแผดเผาจนไหม้เกรียม แต่สตรีผู้ซื่อสัตย์ต่อสามีนั้นยังบำเพ็ญตบะ—เพราะด้วยเดชรัศมีของเราที่สุดจะทน นางจึงไม่อาจทอดพระเนตรเราได้
