मनुस्तत्क्षांतवानस्या यमस्तस्या न चाक्षमत् । ताडनाय ततः कोपात्पादस्तेन समुद्यतः । तस्याः पुनः क्षांतमना न तु देहे न्यपातयत्

manustatkṣāṃtavānasyā yamastasyā na cākṣamat | tāḍanāya tataḥ kopātpādastena samudyataḥ | tasyāḥ punaḥ kṣāṃtamanā na tu dehe nyapātayat

มานุทรงอดกลั้นได้ แต่ยมะทนมิได้ ครั้นโทสะพลุ่งขึ้นจึงยกพระบาทหมายจะลงโทษ ทว่าเมื่อทรงข่มใจอีกครั้ง ก็หาได้เหยียบลงบนกายของนางไม่
