เขารีบเร่งด้วยความไวไปถึงแคว้นนั้น ซึ่งบัดนี้แน่นขนัดด้วยกองทัพมคธะ—ลุกไหม้ด้วยเพลิงและก้องด้วยเสียงคร่ำครวญ—ที่ซึ่งสตรี เด็ก โคทรัพย์ และสมบัติถูกกวาดต้อนปล้นไปแล้ว
