श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेत्तु राजेन्द्र बदर्याश्रममुत्तमम् । सर्वतीर्थवरं पुण्यं कथितं शंभुना पुरा

ศรีมารกัณฑेयกล่าวว่า: “ต่อจากนั้น โอราชาเอกแห่งกษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย พึงไปยังบทรยาศรมอันประเสริฐ—เป็นทีรถะอันเลิศและศักดิ์สิทธิ์เหนือทีรถะทั้งปวง—ซึ่งความเป็นบุญนั้นพระศัมภู (พระศิวะ) ได้ประกาศไว้แต่กาลก่อน”
