श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महाराज पिङ्गलावर्तमुत्तमम् । सङ्गमस्य समीपस्थं रेवाया उत्तरे तटे । हव्यवाहेन राजेन्द्र स्थापितः पिङ्गलेश्वरः

ศรีมารกัณฑेयกล่าวว่า: ต่อจากนั้น โอ้มหาราช พึงไปยังปิงคะลาวรรตอันประเสริฐ ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้สังฆมะ ณ ฝั่งเหนือแห่งแม่น้ำเรวา ที่นั่น โอ้ราชันผู้ประเสริฐ ปิงคเลศวรได้ถูกประดิษฐานโดยหัวยวาหนะ (อัคนี)
