ईश्वर उवाच । याचयाभीप्सितं कार्यं तुष्टोऽहं तव सुव्रत । देवस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा चिन्तयामास दानवः
īśvara uvāca | yācayābhīpsitaṃ kāryaṃ tuṣṭo'haṃ tava suvrata | devasya vacanaṃ śrutvā cintayāmāsa dānavaḥ
พระอิศวรตรัสว่า: “ดูก่อนผู้มีพรตอันงาม จงขอพรที่ปรารถนาเถิด เราพอใจในตัวเจ้าแล้ว” ครั้นได้ฟังพระดำรัสของพระผู้เป็นเจ้า ทานวะก็เริ่มครุ่นคิด
