सरांसि नद्यः क्षयमभ्युपेता घोरे युगेऽस्मिन्कलिनावसृष्टे । त्वं भ्राजसे देवि जलौघपूर्णा दिवीव नक्षत्रपथे च गङ्गा
sarāṃsi nadyaḥ kṣayamabhyupetā ghore yuge'sminkalināvasṛṣṭe | tvaṃ bhrājase devi jalaughapūrṇā divīva nakṣatrapathe ca gaṅgā
ครั้นกาลอันน่าสะพรึงแห่งกลียุคนี้มาถึง—ซึ่งถูกกาลีผลักให้ตกต่ำ—สระและแม่น้ำทั้งหลายย่อมเสื่อมถอย แต่ข้าแต่เทวี พระองค์กลับส่องประกายเต็มเปี่ยมด้วยสายน้ำหลาก ดุจคงคาแห่งสวรรค์บนวิถีแห่งดวงดาว
