हा हता पुत्र पुत्रेति करुणं कुररी यथा । विललापातुरा माता क्व गतो मां विहाय वै । मुखं दर्शय चात्मीयं मातरं मां हि मानय

hā hatā putra putreti karuṇaṃ kurarī yathā | vilalāpāturā mātā kva gato māṃ vihāya vai | mukhaṃ darśaya cātmīyaṃ mātaraṃ māṃ hi mānaya

"อนิจจา ฉันตายเสียแล้ว ลูกแม่ ลูกแม่!" นางร้องไห้อย่างน่าเวทนาประดุจนกออ นางผู้เป็นมารดาคร่ำครวญด้วยความปวดร้าวว่า "เจ้าจากไปไหน ทิ้งแม่ไว้ข้างหลัง? จงแสดงใบหน้าของเจ้าให้แม่เห็น—จงให้เกียรติแม่เถิด เพราะข้าคือมารดาของเจ้า"
