ऋक्षशृङ्ग उवाच । पृच्छामि त्वां कथं को वा कुतस्त्वमिह चागतः । ब्रह्मक्षत्रविशां मध्ये को भवानुत शूद्रजः

ṛkṣaśṛṅga uvāca | pṛcchāmi tvāṃ kathaṃ ko vā kutastvamiha cāgataḥ | brahmakṣatraviśāṃ madhye ko bhavānuta śūdrajaḥ

ฤษีฤกษศฤงคะกล่าวว่า: "ข้าพเจ้าขอถามท่านว่า ท่านเป็นใคร และมาจากที่ใด ในบรรดาพราหมณ์ กษัตริย์ และไวศยะ ท่านคือใคร หรือท่านเกิดเป็นศูทร"
