तावत्ते ब्राह्मणाः सर्वे भ्रमित्वा काननं महत् । आगताः स्वगृहे दारान् ददृशुश्च हतौजसः

tāvatte brāhmaṇāḥ sarve bhramitvā kānanaṃ mahat | āgatāḥ svagṛhe dārān dadṛśuśca hataujasaḥ

ครั้นนั้นพราหมณ์ทั้งปวงพเนจรไปในพนไพรอันกว้างใหญ่ แล้วกลับสู่เรือนของตน และได้เห็นภรรยาทั้งหลาย; แต่รัศมีเดชและความมั่นใจของตนกลับมลายสิ้น
