युगरूपेण सा पश्चाच्चतुर्धा विनियोजिता । मदप्रज्ञानुसारेण नराणां तु महर्षिभिः

yugarūpeṇa sā paścāccaturdhā viniyojitā | madaprajñānusāreṇa narāṇāṃ tu maharṣibhiḥ

ต่อมา ตามลักษณะของยุคสมัย มหาฤๅษีทั้งหลายได้จัดแบ่งออกเป็นสี่ภาค โดยคำนึงถึงกำลังปัญญาอันแตกต่างของมนุษย์
