तत्र देवाधिदेवस्य समुद्रे लिङ्गमुत्थितम् । लिङ्गोद्भूता महाभागा नर्मदा सरितां वरा
tatra devādhidevasya samudre liṅgamutthitam | liṅgodbhūtā mahābhāgā narmadā saritāṃ varā
ณ ที่นั้น ในท้องสมุทร ได้ปรากฏศิวลึงค์ของเทวาธิเทพขึ้นมา และจากศิวลึงค์นั้น นรมทาผู้เป็นมงคลยิ่ง—ยอดแห่งสายน้ำทั้งหลาย—ได้บังเกิดขึ้น
