ศรีมารกัณฑยะกล่าวว่า: พึงไปยังเอรัณฑีสังคม จุดบรรจบที่เหล่าเทวะและอสูรต่างนอบน้อมสักการะ ตีรถะนั้นมีบุญใหญ่และทำลายบาปหนักยิ่ง

Scene: At the meeting of waters: two streams merging into the Revā; devas and asuras shown in symmetrical reverence on opposite banks, hands folded, acknowledging the tīrtha’s power; pilgrims arrive guided by the sage’s instruction.
A saṅgama is presented as exceptionally purifying—capable of destroying even grave sins through tīrtha-sevā.
