किं सुरूपं कुरूपं वा यदा भेदो न दृश्यते । तारतम्यं सुरूपत्वे सततं भिन्नदर्शनात्

kiṃ surūpaṃ kurūpaṃ vā yadā bhedo na dṛśyate | tāratamyaṃ surūpatve satataṃ bhinnadarśanāt

เมื่อไม่เห็นความแตกต่างแล้ว ‘งาม’ หรือ ‘อัปลักษณ์’ จะมีความหมายใด? ลำดับชั้นแห่งความงามย่อมเกิดขึ้นไม่ขาด ก็เพราะสายตาเห็นความต่างอยู่เสมอ
