ऋचमेकां जपन्विप्रस्तथा पर्वणि यो नृप । अनृचोपोष्य गायत्रीं जपेद्वै वेदमातरम्

ṛcamekāṃ japanviprastathā parvaṇi yo nṛpa | anṛcopoṣya gāyatrīṃ japedvai vedamātaram

ข้าแต่มหาราช ในวันปารวณอันเป็นวันบรรจบแห่งจันทรคติอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ พราหมณ์ผู้สวดแม้เพียงหนึ่งฤจ (คาถาเวท) ย่อมเป็นผู้มีบุญอันประเสริฐ และผู้ที่สวดฤจมิได้ เมื่อถืออุโบสถแล้ว พึงสวดชปะพระคายตรี ผู้เป็นมารดาแห่งพระเวทโดยแท้
