ईश्वर उवाच । श्रिया कृतमिदं पूर्वं किं न ज्ञातं त्वया द्विज । अनुमान्य श्रियं देवीं यदीयं मन्यते भवान्

īśvara uvāca | śriyā kṛtamidaṃ pūrvaṃ kiṃ na jñātaṃ tvayā dvija | anumānya śriyaṃ devīṃ yadīyaṃ manyate bhavān

อีศวรตรัสว่า: “สิ่งนี้ศรีเทวีได้กระทำสำเร็จไว้ก่อนแล้ว โอ้ทวิชะ (พราหมณ์) เจ้าไม่รู้หรือ? เพราะฉะนั้น หากเจ้าถือว่าเหมาะสม จงนอบน้อมบูชาศรีเทวีโดยชอบธรรมเถิด”
