ईश्वर उवाच । किं तेऽद्य क्रियतां ब्रूहि वरदोऽहं द्विजोत्तम । अदेयमपि दास्यामि एकचित्तस्य ते ध्रुवम्
īśvara uvāca | kiṃ te'dya kriyatāṃ brūhi varado'haṃ dvijottama | adeyamapi dāsyāmi ekacittasya te dhruvam
พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า “ดูก่อนพราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐ วันนี้เจ้าปรารถนาให้เรากระทำสิ่งใด จงบอกมา เราเป็นผู้ประทานพร แม้สิ่งที่โดยปกติว่า ‘ไม่ควรให้’ เราก็จักประทานแก่เจ้าแน่นอน เพราะจิตของเจ้าแน่วแน่เป็นหนึ่งเดียว”
