ततः प्रोवाच देवेशं यमः संयमने रतः । तत्र प्रधानो भगवान् भवेयं सर्वजन्तुषु

tataḥ provāca deveśaṃ yamaḥ saṃyamane rataḥ | tatra pradhāno bhagavān bhaveyaṃ sarvajantuṣu

แล้วพระยม ผู้ยึดมั่นในสังยมะและการปกครอง ได้กราบทูลพระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งเทวะว่า “ในแดนนั้น ท่ามกลางสรรพสัตว์ทั้งปวง ขอให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นผู้เป็นใหญ่สูงสุด”
