śaṅkareṇa samaṃ tasmādbhogaṃ bhuṅkte hyanuttamam | saubhāgyaṃ tasya vipulaṃ jāyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
Śiva (Śaṅkara)
Type: tirtha
Listener: Rājendra (king)
Scene: A devotee at the river ford receives Śiva’s grace: Śiva appears subtly above the tīrtha, bestowing a radiant aura of fortune; the devotee’s household symbols (grain, children, prosperity) appear as sanctified boons.
Tīrtha-based devotion and dharmic giving culminate in exceptional well-being and divine-grade blessings.
The Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha praised throughout Revā Khaṇḍa, Adhyāya 106.
Implied culmination of the prior prescriptions (tapas, pūjā, dāna) whose fruit is described as unsurpassed bhoga and great saubhāgya.
