अकामकामाश्च तथा सकामा रेवान्तमाश्रित्य म्रियन्ति तीरे । जडान्धमूकास्त्रिदिवं प्रयान्ति किमत्र विप्रा भवभावयुक्ताः

akāmakāmāśca tathā sakāmā revāntamāśritya mriyanti tīre | jaḍāndhamūkāstridivaṃ prayānti kimatra viprā bhavabhāvayuktāḥ

ไม่ว่าปราศจากความใคร่หรือเต็มไปด้วยความใคร่ ผู้ใดอาศัยแดนปลายแห่งเรวาและสิ้นชีวิต ณ ฝั่งของนาง—แม้คนทึบ คนตาบอด และคนใบ้—ย่อมไปสู่ไตรทิวะ (สวรรค์) แล้วโอ้พราหมณ์ทั้งหลาย สำหรับผู้มีภาวะแห่งภักติอันถูกต้อง จะน่าอัศจรรย์อะไรเล่า
