Inquiry into the Unity of Śiva and Śakti
Para–Apara Ontology
prabhayā hi vināyadvadbhānureṣa na vidyate | prabhā ca bhānunā tena sutarāṃ tadupāśrayā

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It teaches that the Lord (Pati) and His power are inseparable like the sun and its radiance, yet all manifested power ultimately depends upon Shiva as the sustaining support—guiding the seeker toward reliance on the Supreme for liberation.
The Linga signifies Shiva as the foundational reality in whom all energies and forms abide; worship of Saguna Shiva trains devotion to the Support of all manifestation, while recognizing that His śakti and His presence are never separate.
Meditate on Shiva as the inner support of all experiences and repeat the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with the contemplation that every power—body, breath, mind—shines only by resting in Him.
