Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Affirms that certain naturally sacred liṅgas (bāṇa-liṅgas) are fit for worship even without elaborate temple installation, widening access to liṅga-bhakti.
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that purity and right procedure support devotion: when impurity or damage arises, it is corrected through consecratory purification, and when there is no defect, worship continues steadily—reflecting disciplined bhakti directed to Pati (Śiva).
The Liṅga is Saguna worship that leads the mind to Śiva’s transcendent reality; this verse clarifies practical rules—purify if defiled and continue puja—while noting that Bāṇa-liṅgas can be worshipped with or without formal installation, emphasizing accessible devotion.
Ritual takeaway: perform saṃprokṣaṇa (sprinkling sanctified water) to remove ritual defect, then proceed with Liṅga-pūjā; Bāṇa-liṅgas may be worshipped directly, supporting regular home worship alongside mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī.
