Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: General karmic principle is affirmed (karma bears fruit), then redirected: perform all action with Mahādeva as the intention/recipient—i.e., īśvara-arpaṇa—so action becomes sanctified and oriented to auspicious fulfillment.
Significance: Teaches pilgrims to convert all deeds into Śiva-sevā through offering (arpaṇa), aligning daily life with dharma and gradual liberation.
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It teaches that actions inevitably yield results, so the wise transform karma into a liberating offering by directing intention to Mahādeva—aligning effort with devotion and right purpose.
By “keeping Mahādeva in view,” the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—mentally offering all works at Śiva’s feet (often symbolized by the Liṅga), so even worldly duties become worship.
Practice īśvara-arpana (offering of action): begin and end tasks with remembrance of Śiva—e.g., silently repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and dedicating the fruit to Mahādeva.
