Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Honey and sugarcane-juice offerings are presented as prosperity-and-bliss bestowers through Śiva-pūjā, aligning artha/kāma fruits with devotion while implying higher Śiva-anugraha as the source of ‘sarvānanda’.
Shakti Form: Annapūrṇā
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
The verse teaches that simple, sattvic offerings made with devotion in Śiva-pūjā become vehicles of Śiva’s grace—granting both worldly elevation (prosperity and lordship) and inner bliss (ānanda) that purifies the soul toward liberation.
Honey and sugarcane-juice are classic abhiṣeka-style offerings to Saguna Śiva (often the Liṅga). The teaching emphasizes that tangible offerings, when offered to the Liṅga with bhakti, become spiritually potent and yield auspicious fruits through Śiva’s compassionate acceptance.
Perform Śiva-pūjā/abhisheka by offering honey (madhu) and, if available, a steady stream of sugarcane juice, while maintaining japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and a devotional, pure intention.
