Sūta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames liberation as Śiva’s anugraha accessed through śuddha-citta and śaraṇāgati at the Lord’s feet—core Siddhānta soteriology (grace, not mere self-effort).
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Śiva’s anugraha (liberating grace) is approached through śuddha-cetas (purified mind) and culminates in śaraṇāgati—taking refuge by holding fast to Śiva’s feet, the symbol of Pati (the Lord) who releases the bound soul.
“Pleasing Śiva with a pure mind” aligns with Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—where devotion, purity, and reverence invite Śiva’s prasāda; the ‘grasping of His feet’ expresses the devotee’s surrender that Linga worship is meant to mature into.
Practice inner purification and bhakti: daily Linga-abhiṣeka with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and meditation on surrender at Śiva’s feet, seeking His prasāda rather than mere worldly boons.
