FAQs

It affirms Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord of all beings and even the devas—indicating that true refuge and final authority rest in Shiva, not in limited celestial powers.

By declaring Shiva’s sovereignty over the gods, it supports Saguna worship of Shiva through the Linga as the manifest focus of the Supreme who governs all cosmic functions performed by the devas.

Practice surrender (śaraṇāgati) to Shiva with japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and, if following Shaiva ritual, support it with Tripuṇḍra bhasma and Rudrākṣa as reminders of living under Shiva’s lordship.
