पुनान इन्दवा भर सोम द्विबर्हसं रयिम् । वृषन्निन्दो न उक्थ्यम् ॥

punāná indavā́ bhara sóma dvi-bárhasaṃ rayím | vṛ́ṣann indo na ukthyám ||

โอ โสมะ โอ อินทุ (Indu) เมื่อท่านชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์ ขอจงนำมาสู่เราซึ่งรายิ (rayi) อันมีที่ค้ำจุนสองชั้น (dvibarhas)—ความอุดมที่เกื้อหนุนทั้งสองภพ. โอผู้ทรงพลัง อินทุเอ๋ย ขอประทานพลังแห่งอุกถะ (ukthya) คือถ้อยคำสรรเสริญอันควรแก่การสาธยายแก่เรา.
