इन्द्रो नेदिष्ठमवसागमिष्ठः सरस्वती सिन्धुभिः पिन्वमाना । पर्जन्यो न ओषधीभिर्मयोभुरग्निः सुशंसः सुहवः पितेव ॥

índro néd iṣṭham avasā́gamiṣṭhaḥ sárasvatī síndhubhiḥ pínvamānā | parjányo na oṣádhībhir mayobhúr agníḥ su-śáṃsaḥ su-hávaḥ pitā́iva ||

ขออินทระจงเสด็จมาใกล้ที่สุดด้วยความอุปถัมภ์; ขอสรัสวตี (Sarasvatī) ผู้เอ่อล้นร่วมกับสายน้ำทั้งหลาย จงเพิ่มพูนในเรา. ขอปัรชัญญะ (Parjanya) จงเป็นผู้นำความรื่นรมย์แก่เราด้วยโอษธีคือพืชสมุนไพร; ขออัคนี (Agni)—ผู้ควรสรรเสริญ ผู้เรียกหาได้ง่าย—จงเป็นดุจบิดาแก่เรา นำทางและค้ำจุนเครื่องบูชาภายใน.
