महि महे दिवे अर्चा पृथिव्यै कामो म इच्छञ्चरति प्रजानन् । ययोर्ह स्तोमे विदथेषु देवाः सपर्यवो मादयन्ते सचायोः ॥
máhi mahé divé arcā pṛthivyái kā́mo ma icchán cárati prajā́nann | yáyor ha stóme vidáthēṣu devā́ḥ saparyávo mā́dayante sacā́yoḥ ||
จงขับสรรเสริญอันกว้างใหญ่แด่ฟ้าอันยิ่งใหญ่และแผ่นดิน. ความปรารถนาอันแสวงหาเคลื่อนไหวอยู่ในข้า รู้เป้าหมายของตน. เพราะในบทสรรเสริญของทั้งสอง ในสภาพิธีตามระเบียบอันเที่ยงธรรม (วิทะถะ) เหล่าเทพผู้รับใช้และทำกิจให้สำเร็จย่อมรื่นเริงร่วมกับทั้งสอง—ฟ้าและดิน.
