वि पाजसा पृथुना शोशुचानो बाधस्व द्विषो रक्षसो अमीवाः । सुशर्मणो बृहतः शर्मणि स्यामग्नेरहं सुहवस्य प्रणीतौ ॥

Transliteration

ví pā́jasā pṛthúnā śóśucāno bā́dhasva dvíṣo rákṣaso ámīvāḥ | su-śármaṇo bṛhatáḥ śármaṇi syām agnér aháṃ su-hávasyá pra-nī́tau ||

Translation

ผู้ลุกโพลงด้วยฤทธานุภาพอันกว้างใหญ่ จงขับไล่ผู้เกลียดชัง ขับไล่รากษส (rakṣasa) และกำลังแห่งความเจ็บไข้ทั้งหลาย. ขอให้เราพำนักในสันติอันคุ้มครองของ “ผู้กว้างใหญ่” (Bṛhat); ขอให้ข้าพเจ้าอยู่ในความนำพาอันชี้ทางของอัคนี (Agni) ผู้ถูกอัญเชิญอย่างดีงาม.
