Rishi: Madhucchandas Vaiśvāmitra (traditional ascription for RV 1.1–1.11; RV 1.5 commonly placed under this r̥ṣi in Anukramaṇī tradition)

स घा नो योग आ भुवत्स राये स पुरंध्याम् । गमद्वाजेभिरा स नः ॥

sa ghā́ no yogá ā́ bhuvat sá rāyé sá puraṃdhyām | gamád vājébhir ā́ sá naḥ ||

ขอให้ท่านนั้นแลเป็นพลังแห่งการเทียมแอกแก่เราทั้งหลาย ใน ‘โยคะ’ (yoga ความผูกประสานและความรวมเป็นหนึ่ง) นั้น; ขอให้ท่านเป็นแก่เราเพื่อ ‘รายิ’ (rāyí ความมั่งคั่งอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์) และเพื่อ ‘ปุรัมธิ’ (puraṃdhi ความเต็มเปี่ยมแห่งปัญญาอันถูกต้อง). ขอให้ท่านเสด็จมาหาเราพร้อมด้วยเหล่า ‘วาชะ’ (vājāḥ พลังที่สำเร็จและความเพิ่มพูนแห่งชัยชนะ).
