एकस्त्वष्टुरश्वस्या विशस्ता द्वा यन्तारा भवतस्तथ ऋतुः । या ते गात्राणामृतुथा कृणोमि ताता पिण्डानां प्र जुहोम्यग्नौ ॥

Transliteration

ékás tváṣṭur áśvasya vi-śastā́ dvā́ yantā́rā bhavatas táthā ṛtúḥ | yā́ te gā́trāṇām ṛtu-thā́ kṛṇómi tā́tā piṇḍā́nāṃ prá juhomy agnáu ||

Translation

หนึ่งคือผู้จัดสรรส่วนของม้าแห่งทวัสฏฤ (Tvaṣṭṛ); สองคือผู้ขับนำและผู้ยับยั้งมัน—ฉันนั้นแล ฤตุ (ṛtu) คือกาลอันชอบ และ ฤตะ (ṛta) คือระเบียบอันเที่ยงธรรมก็เป็นไป. ส่วนใดแห่งอวัยวะของท่านที่ข้าพเจ้าจัดแบ่งตามมาตราจริงอันถูกกาล ส่วนแห่งก้อนมวลนั้น ข้าพเจ้าขอทอดนำหน้าเป็นเครื่องบูชา ลงสู่อัคนี (Agni).
